Dr. Filio Chasioti holds a PhD in Theoretical and Applied Linguistics from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Her dissertation focuses on Margaret Atwood and is an interdisciplinary project seeking to implement a corpus linguistics analytical framework to the study of Atwood's dystopian trilogy, MaddAddam. The project was funded by the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY). She obtained her BA (Hons) in English Language and Literature from the School of English (AUTh). She holds an MPhil (Hons) in Applied Linguistics from Trinity College, Dublin,  for which she was awarded full scholarship by the School of English AUTh (2012-13). She teaches literature units to BA level students, and the Corpora in Applied Linguistics unit in the MA in Applied Linguistics and TESOL programme.
