Dr Chatzimpyros is a psychologist with an expertise in Social  and Occupational Psychology. He completed his PhD in Social Psychology in 2014 at the Aristotle University in Thessaloniki, which focused on social representations of health provision towards immigrant patients and the organisational assessment of the Greek health system. In 2014 he was awarded the State Scholarship Foundation research fund and collaborated with the University of California Berkeley as a research scholar. He produced research for the department of Public Health that focused on issues of human rights and minorities, occupational health of immigrants and health provision. Dr Chatzimpyros has research experience on issues of  idenity and immigration, social representations of prejudice, human rights and minorities and organizational assessment of health systems, collaborating with the University of Thessaly, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the University of California Berkeley and the Technological University of Cyprus on these issues. 

He has also extensive teaching experience in psychology, having taught at the University of Thessaly, at the School of Pedagogical and Technological education (ASPAITE), at the University Of Applied Sciences Of Thessaly and at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. 

He is certified in Occupational Testing (British Psychological Society test user ability and test user personality) and has received training in cognitive behavior therapy (CBT). In the past, he collaborated as an occupational psychologist with the General Air Force hospital in Athens, as a consultant in the vocational training of students at the Spastics Society of Northern Greece and as a psychology consultant in the second chance school in the prison of Larissa.
