Dr. Thomas Mantzaris holds a PhD in American Literature from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and his project examines multimodality and experimentation in the context of contemporary American print fiction. He obtained his BA in English Language and Literature from the same university, specializing in American Literature and Culture, and his MA in American Literature and Culture from Uppsala University, Sweden. He received a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education from The University of Sheffield, UK. Dr. Mantzaris is a member of the Hellenic Association for American Studies, the European Association for American Studies, and the Multimodal Research and Reading Group at School of English, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, as well as a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy. He spent the Spring of 2014 in Nottingham Trent University as a visiting research scholar, after receiving a scholarship from the Greek National Scholarship Foundation.
