SEERC co-organises with the Thessaloniki Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TCCI) event on Artificial Intelligence in Business and Industry

Our research centre, the South-East European Research Centre (SEERC) in collaboration with The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Thessaloniki (TCCI) successfully organised an event titled "Artificial Intelligence in Business" on 20 Devember 2024. The event was supported by the Thessaloniki Innovation Zone.

Prof. Panayiotis Ketikidis, Vice President of Research & Innovation at CITY College, University of York Europe Campus officially opened the event together with Mr. Emmanouil Vlachogiannis, 1st Vice President of TCCI. The speakers presented compelling talks on the latest applications of Artificial Intelligence to enhance business efficiency through examples of tools and case studies.

Mr. Anastasios Dabizas, Business Development Manager of the South-East European Research Center (SEERC), delved into the practical applications and tools of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the current business landscape. Drawing on surveys, Mr. Dabizas also shed light on the future of AI, outlining its expected impact on various industries and business functions.

Prof. Dilay Celebi Gonidis, Lecturer at our Business Administration & Economics Department, also participated in the event with a presentation of a relevant educational programme in the field of education and digital sustainable skills.

The event concluded with a discussion on industry trends, prompting a lively Q&A session with the knowledgeable speakers.
