The new and returning students joining CITY College, International Faculty of the University of Sheffield for the academic year 2019-2020 received a very warm welcome during the Induction Week by the academic staff and personnel. The Induction Week took place at our main campus in Thessaloniki, 30 September - 4 October 2019.
The aim of the Induction Week was to introduce our undergraduate and postgraduate students to CITY College and prepare them for the academic year ahead. It included workshops, team building activities, welcome sessions, meetings with personal tutors and information sessions so as to give the students the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the new academic environment and help them discover the facilities, the Library (ILC) and the academic and professional opportunities which are available to them. Among the events were the presentation of student clubs and the CITY’s Student Union (CSU) which is the student body that represents all students at CITY College.
The Induction Week ended with a welcome party that took place at ‘CITY Break’ café giving students the opportunity to meet their fellow students and socialise with them.
This orientation week is designed to help students understand what to expect from their department and CITY Colelge overall but also what is expected from them. All procedures, general regulations, available resources, services and CITY College’s philosophy are also among the information offered to students during the Induction Week.
Wishing a great academic year to all our students!
