During the conference, entitled ‘A Catalyst for Change’, Dr Solomon together with Ms Ilina Atanasovska, graduate of our Business Administration & Economics Department and PhD candidate at our research centre, SEERC, delivered an informative presentation focusing on the key message that society needs a voice in any type of innovation. Their presentation highlighted the research impact of the THA Chapter of Greece hosted by the South-East European Research Centre (SEERC), in terms of producing market and society-oriented research, products & services. The presentation underpinned SEERC’s role within our society, since over the years it has contributed to the resilience strategy of Thessaloniki through multi-stakeholder co-creation while also helping industry to grow, boosting the entrepreneurial ecosystem and engaging our society into research. The session included a short presentation of the responsible innovation RRI experiment methodology by the FIT4RRI project through which institutions can learn how to embed RRI into their core operations. On the second day of the conference Dr Solomon co-delivered a training with Dr. Christiane Gebhardt on the pathways to develop entrepreneurial universities mentioning that the local culture ecosystem motivation and values are key shapers of such a process.
