The Computer Science Department of CITY College, International Faculty of the University of Sheffield is happy to announce the launch of a series of new Masters programmes aiming at better responding to the current needs of the industry. All postgraduate programmes will be taught over weekends, in the English language, starting the upcoming academic year, in October 2019.
New programmes are listed below:
MSc in Web and Mobile Development
MSc in Software Development
MSc in Software Development with Industry Placement
PG Certificate in Front-End Development (1 semester)
PG Certificate in Mobile Development (1 semester)
The Computer Science Department introduces the MSc in Web and Mobile Development for applicants who wish to gain specialised knowledge and skills to prepare for a career in the highly demanded market areas of Web and Mobile development.
The MSc in Software Development and the MSc in Software Development with Industry Placement programmes are ideal for graduates from other than Computer Science disciplines who want to change their career path and may come from a wide variety of academic backgrounds. The programme provides students with a wide understanding of Computer Science and of core computing skills and prepares graduates for rewarding and challenging careers in the computing industry and technology related fields. Also the Industry placement offers opportunities to students to gain professional experience with the industrial partners of the Computer Science Department while studying.
The newly introduced PG Certificates have been designed to offer specialisation in contemporary technologies of Front-end or Mobile Development in only 1 semester of studies. Eligible applicants are expected to hold an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related degree.
