Delegates from the University of Sheffield Library and CICS visit CITY College

On 13th of May staff from the Library and Corporate Information and Computing Services (CICS) of The University of Sheffield visited the main campus of CITY College International Faculty in Thessaloniki.

Staff of CITY College warmly welcomed the delegates of the University of Sheffield - namely Gavin Boyce, Head of Faculty Engagement and Partnerships, Ruth Mallalieu, Scholarly Communications Licensing Manager Matt Cooper, Outreach Librarian,Patrice Panella, (CICS) Learning & Teaching and Jayne Salter, CICS UCards/Registration Manager. During their visit, they successfully delivered a workshop on "Open Access and Research Data Management" in the frame of the Postgraduate Research Conference, seminars on Copyright awareness and good practices to the academic staff of CITY College, as well as a series of Information Skills training sessions to taught and research students and drop-in-sessions for the use of MUSE Accounts.

Both students and staff found the sessions and seminars extremely useful and informative and expressed that they gained a lot from the professional expertise and knowledge of the University of Sheffield staff.

Additionally, the visit served as an opportunity for staff from both CITY College International Faculty and the University of Sheffield to exchange opinions and best practices, discuss current services and resources provision, as well as future needs.
