The successful ‘Psychology for All’ series of the International Faculty’s Psychology Department restarted for academic year 2018-19 with more interesting topics. The first event of the year was presented on 30 November 2018 by Mr Petros Theodorou, Gestalt Psychotherapist, who delivered a two-hour talk on ‘The Sexual Self: The body’s pleasure or prison?”.

In his presentation Mr. Theodorou explained that despite the evolution of the human intellect, we always have the tendency to reconnect to primary sexual self. He then went on to discuss how this internal force sometimes becomes pleasurable and sometimes imprisonment. The audience found the topic particularly interesting and had the opportunity to ask questions to the speaker at the end of his presentation.
