Bachelors students of the Psychology Department of the International Faculty CITY College combined learning with fun in the interactive Christmas-themed workshop organised by Dr. Aristea Ladas, Lecturer at the Psychology Department, in the frame of the unit ‘Topics in Psychology’.
During the workshop students were seperated in three groups - the Santa Claus group, the Rudolf group and the Calipers group -and were given bells to ring when ready to answer Dr Ladas’ questions on the course material covered from the beginning of the academic year, mainly concerning psychological disorders & psychological therapies. The groups would collect points every time they gave correct answers. At the end, they had to give a group presentation on the basic characteristics of different psychotherapy schools (i.e. Humanistic approach, psychodynamic, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy).
Dr Ladas run this interactive workshop as a fun way to revise the unit content, so that students trace by themselves their gaps in their learning before exams.
At the end, The Calipers was the workshop’s the winning team, and they even got a Certificate of Awesomeness!
