Dr Papachristou, Lecturer at the English Studies Dept., delivers enlightening talk in the Welcome Back Day Conference of TESOL

On Sunday 30th September 2018, Dr Vicky Papachristou, Lecturer at the English Studies Department, participated in the Welcome Back Day Conference organised by TESOL Macedonia-Thrace Northern Greece.

In particular, Dr Papachristou, delivered a presentation titled “Technologising Phonetics in the Classroom” in which she discussed the importance of teaching phonetics and hence pronunciation in the classroom as well as why and how technology can help teachers in that direction. The talk followed a short demonstration/workshop on how to use specific applications, emphasising its pedagogical implications and the significance of lifelong learning in terms of teacher training and professional development.
