Poster Exhibition and Competition on IT by our Business students

A remarkable Poster Exhibition themed ‘Information Technology (IT)” took place at our main campus on 18-19th January in Thessaloniki, where 2nd level business students had the opportunity to participate in the competition and showcase a creative series of posters on a range of IT-related topics.

The exhibition was organized in the frame of the unit "Decision Making with Technology’ led by Dr Andrew Salisbury. The posters were displayed in the Auditorium on the 5th floor, and many students and staff took the opportunity to visit the exhibition and admire our students’ work.

Dr Salisbury commented “In modern times, it is imperative that students are given the opportunity to communicate their work with industry, so an event like this benefits them two-fold, that is innovation though expression (poster presentation) and connection with their future workplace. I hope that this event brings about initiatives enabling students’ assignments to be inextricably linked with industry bringing both parties involved even closer.  Special thanks to my friend Mr Vassilis Tsoulis (Director of Career, Employability and Enterprise Centre) who made all this possible.”

On the last day of the exhibition two leading IT companies (IP.gr - IP Digital & StoneWave) were invited to judge the posters based on their own unique professional experience and the competition winners were chosen. Overall company representatives were impressed by our students’ posters, their creativity, ideas and professional approach. They gave students valuable feedback and an essential guide to today’s industry requirements.
