Prof. Ketikidis participates in the Education Innovation Entrepreneurship Event 2016 by the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce

Prof. Panayiotis Ketikidis, Vice Principal of the University of Sheffield International Faculty, CITY College participated as invited speaker in the Education Innovation Entrepreneurship Event 2016 Smart Moves event organised by the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and the Committee of Education, Innovation & Entrepreneurship in Athens, 7 December 2016 at the Hilton Hotel.

Prof. Panayiotis Ketikidis, Vice Principal of the University of Sheffield International Faculty, CITY College participated as invited speaker in the Education Innovation Entrepreneurship Event 2016 Smart Moves event organised by the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and the Committee of Education, Innovation & Entrepreneurship

The event brought together innovation, entrepreneurship and education experts who held interesting presentations and generated a genuine discussion in order to identify the Smart Moves that can effectively trigger radical changes and upgrade the value Greece produces as a country.

Prof. Ketikidis was among invited speakers of the third and final panel of the event and discussed ways education can accelerate the implementation of innovation for the development of a competitive entrepreneurship.

The speakers concluded that rapid implementation of advanced knowledge is necessary to overcome the current situation and that we need to overcome existing slowly evolving procedures. They all agreed that that such advanced knowledge already exists in academia underpinning that the industry and academia should work together systematically towards the implementation of knowledge, the generation of innovation, competitive advantage and sustainability.
