Mr Marin Troshanov

Our Executive MBA student from Bulgaria, Mr Marin Troshanov presented his first novel in a very successful event that took place on 14 November at The National Palace of Culture in Sofia.

Dedicated to literature, the event turned out as one of most successful ones that have taken place in the capital city of Bulgaria. Hundreds of people came with enthusiasm to support Mr Troshanov’s work, drawing a full house at the spacious art hall. During the event, the cover artist, the chief editor and the author himself gave a short welcome speech followed by loud applause.

Talking about the book, Mr. Troshanov said: “The novel itself combines thriller, fantasy and noar elements in an intriguing mix. It is a beautifully written dark tale about love, loss and supernatural adventures that will equally excite and inspire you. The story is set in contemporary Bulgaria and evolves around the mysterious disappearance of a young girl and the obstinate attempts of her boyfriend Miro to retrieve her.”

Two of the finest Bulgarian artists, namely, Mr. Peter Stanimirov and Mr. Vesselin Chakarov, combined efforts to visualize the storytelling in a distinctive and memorable way. Currently the novel is in Bulgarian language only but Mr. Troshanov plans to have it translated and reach international audience.

The talented Bulgarian singer Nestynarka and another alumnus from the University of Sheffield Executive MBA programme, Mr Emil Todorov, who appeared to be a very skillful guitar player as well, cheered up all guests with their performance. Among the guests were many students from the Executive MBA programme launched last year in Sofia.
