Dr Ana Vivas, Head of our Psychology Department, was one of the invited speakers to the first meeting in Athens of the recently founded Hellenic Society of Neuropsychology. As one of the few researchers in Greece working in the field of Cognitive Neuropsychology, Dr Vivas presented some of the work conducted in the department by the ReA2CH group (Research on Ageing, Affect, Cognition, & Health), which focuses on interventions (e.g., cognitive training) to promote healthy and active aging. Neuropsychology (Clinical and Cognitive) is an underdeveloped field in Greece, and thus the new Society has an important mission in promoting it. The International Faculty, CITY College offers one of the few programmes in Neuropsychology in Greece (with a Clinical and Research stream).
