Successful event by CITY College and YMCA 'Healthy and active ageing'

The International Faculty and YMCA jointly organised a very successful on ‘Healthy and Ageing’ presented by Mr George Pavlidis, PhD Candidate at SEERC and Lecturer at our Psychology Department. The event took place on 17 March 2016 at the YMCA premises in Thessaloniki.

Mr. George Pavlidis discussed the negative connotations of aging and the general belief that old age is one of the causes of peoples’ suffering. In his lively and interactive presentation the speaker pointed out that as we grow up in order to improve and maintain our quality of life with age we should focus on the combination three essential prerequisites: the cognitive training, cardiovascular exercise and socialization.

The presentation concluded with discussion between Mr Pavlidis and the audience.
 
The event was part of the social action of the International Faculty and YMCA.
