‘The brain advantage: Teacher Leadership through Neuroscience’ was the topic of Dr Nikolaos Dimitriadis’ presentation at ‘The New Technologies in Education’ conference and fair organised by the British Council in Belgrade, on 26 February 2016.
Dr Dimitriadis led a very motivational speech focusing on the necessity to abandon the outdated educational system from the Industrial Revolution era and adopt a more flexible, creative and brain-friendly one. “Teachers need to understand neuroscience deeply and to evolve into curators, motivators and connectors. Technology has a great role to play… but humans are even greater! he commented. The presentation featured the latest insights from neuroscience to provide actionable recommendations to participants.
The event was organised by the British Embassy in Belgrade, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications and other organizations.
