Dr Karamanos commented: “It was great to kick-off the meeting at the historic city of Pecs, Hungary. Pecs is the fifth largest city of Hungary, located on the slopes of the Mecsek mountains in the south-west of the country, close to its border with Croatia. The history of higher education in Pécs dates back to the 13th Century A.D. when the University of Pécs was founded, which has grown to become one of the most famous, prestigious institutions having a leading role in regional education. It has ten faculties which cover the full spectrum of high-quality higher education. The Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Pecs is a dynamic and growing Faculty with a leading contribution to driving economic growth in the region and solving sosioeconomic problems with education and civil engagement. With excellent people, facilities and culture they set the foundation of NetMIB project with great success.”

The project intends to establish a transnational entrepreneurship ecosystem that can support the development of entrepreneurial skills of participating persons (students, faculty members, business professionals, public servents), while creating innovative solutions that are able to solve some regional, national or international socio-economic problems.

The NetMIB project involves researchers from five countries, namely Italy, Greece, Spain, USA and Finland.
