9th International Conference for Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Regional Development in Bucharest

Representatives from the International Faculty, CITY College and its research centre, SEERC, attended, moderated and delivered presentations at the 9th International Conference for Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Regional Development - ICEIRD (23-24 June 2016, Bucharest, Romania). The 9th ICEIRD which was originally founded by CITY College was organized by its academic partner in Bucharest, the National University of Political Science and Public Administration (SNSPA).

ICEIRD aims to bring together academics, researchers and entrepreneurs to discuss the perspectives of responsible development of small and medium -sized enterprises in a dynamic environment. The mission of ICEIRD is to support regional development, especially considering South East Europe, by providing a multi-disciplinary forum for researchers, practitioners and policy makers in the field of innovation, entrepreneurship and regional development. The 2016 edition debated the complex relationship between entrepreneurship and responsibility, from a wide range of perspectives: economic, social, environmental, organisational, technological, competitiveness. Networking opportunities are offered during various activities proposed tot he participants. This year's event met a great success by combining a wide number of quality papers (presentations), workshops and sessions.

Next year, ICEIRD will celebrate its decade of building capacity and regional development and an innovative concept of hte event is currently being prepared.
