Dr Vivas delivers speech about ADHD at WHAAM Conference

Dr Ana Vivas, Head of Psychology Department at the International Faculty, CITY College participated with an interesting presentation in ‘WHAAM-Web Health Application for ADHD Monitoring’ event, hosted by the Aristotle University Research Dissemination Centre, 3 June 2015.

With her presentation, entitled ‘AHDH from a Cognitive Neuroscience perspective’ Dr Vivas shared her 20 year research expertise in the field of attention and discussed what Cognitive Neuroscience has to offer for a better understanding of the core problems in children with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) and how this knowledge can be used for more accurate and objective diagnosis, and to design tailored computer-based cognitive training interventions. The event took place in the frame of the Web Health Application for ADHD Monitoring Project and was well-attended by university students and lecturers, parents of children with ADHD and educators. WHAAM is an EU-funded project aimed at diffusing a new culture in the ADHD intervention with the use of technology and ICT.
