The International Faculty at the 1st International Conference of Agrifood SCM & Green Logistics

The University of Sheffield International Faculty, CITY College, participated with two contributions at the 1st International Conference of Agrifood Supply Chain Management and Green Logistics which took place within the framework of the GREEN-AgriChains Project at the Porto Carras Hotel in Halkidiki on May 27-30, 2015.

Our graduate, Stefan Ivanov spoke about his research on “Assessing the Implementation of a Food Producer Union Business Model in Bulgaria: Pitfalls and Success Factors” (co-authored by Prof. Panayiotis Ketikidis and Mr Adrian Solomon) while Andreas Baresel-Bofinger presented a paper based on the research done by our graduate Nikola Bendic, entitled “Improving the Cold Supply Chain for Fresh Agricultural Food Products Between Serbia and Western Europe”. The conference attracted an international audience with more than 200 registered participants. Appealing keynote speeches were given, among other topics, on “Green Logistics” and “Sustainable Food Supply Chain Design” as well as on the vision of perfect “Synchro-modality” in modern supply chain management.
