CITY College Running Team had the unique experience to participate in the 10th ‘Alexander the Great’ International Marathon, the biggest sporting event in Northern Greece with approximately 15.000 road runners aged 9-85 years participating.
Comprised of 33 runners (2 runners in the 42km race, 8 runners in 10km and 23 in 5km) from our Faculty’s student body, faculty and administration staff members, our Running Team joined the race and enjoyed the experience to the fullest.
Very special congratulations go to our marathon runners, our alumnus, Charilaos Liampas and Christos Papadopoulos from the Faculty’s staff, who raced the 42km from Pella in 3:56:45 and 4:20:04 respectively! It was the second time for Charilaos to participate in the Marathon and achieve a remarkable time record.
Our alumnus Charilaos Liampas who completed the 42km Marathon
The International Faculty warmly congratulates all marathon participants and its Students’ Union (CSU) for organizing our participation!
