Conducting Research with Societal Impact
Accepting the invitation of School Advisors and the Observatory for School Violence and Bullying of Central Macedonia, Dr Lambros Lazuras, Lecturer in the Psychology Department, presented his research on bullying and cyberbullying in elementary and high school students of Pinewood, The American International School of Thessaloniki on Thursday 2.4.2015.
Dr Lazuras talked about the similarities and differences between face-to-face bullying and cyberbullying, addressed the psychological consequences of cyberbullying victimization, and provided parents, teachers, and students with evidence-based recommendations and guidelines for the effective prevention of cyberbullying incidents.
Dr Lazuras is a social psychologist interested in the drivers of risk and deviant behaviours, including cyberbullying among young people and adults. He has co-authored a book about cyberbullying in Greek, and published several articles about adolescent cyberbullying in international scientific journals.
