A quite unusual seminar took place at the premises of our main campus in Thessaloniki on ‘First Aids’ presented to the volunteering team of 50plus Hellas.
The seminar, delivered by Mr. Thanassis Kotsampasidis, volunteer rescuer at the Greek Association for Research and Rescue, introduced participants to the basic principles of first aid, putting particular emphasis on making good decisions by staying calm and safe. During the seminar the speaker presented a series of situations and ways to give life-saving first aid.
The seminar took place in the frame of meetings that 50plus Hellas volunteering team hold at our premises on a monthly basis. The team aims at improving the quality of life of those over 50 years of age in Greece, within a more equal society and through actions and activities affecting all aspects of life.
The meetings take place under the supervision of Mr. George Pavlidis, PhD Candidate of Gerontology at our research centre, SEERC.
